Overcrowded. Congested. Squalid. Confusing. These are words that people constantly associated with highways, but not me. In fact, I’m so fascinated by them that I draw them for a living. While other people are disgusted by a nauseating smorgasbord of onramps and offramps, I see an intricate, constantly changing flow of vehicles. To me, the hidden beauty of highways is that they take you anywhere in the world, and if you look closely, seeing onramps and offramps converge into one road is truly captivating – somewhat akin to piecing together a massive jigsaw puzzle and seeing a picture form (8/14/22)
